BBC for sale
It seems to me that the BBC are systemattically selling off (its? / Our?) family silver.
What seems strange to me is.... As the BBC reduces in size, the TV licence fee increases, the cost of the licence has just gone up in price from April 1st 2008, the cost of a colour TV licence will rise £4 to £139.50 from £135.50 and black and white will rise £1.50 to £47 from £45.50
The BBC's archive of coats, dresses and frilly shirts has been bought by Oscar-winning costume house Angels.
http://www.angels.uk.com they also do fancydress costumes http://www.fancydress.com
The Amount of the sale was undisclosed Source
BBC Outside Broadcasts division sold to Sis (Satellite Information Services Ltd) BBC press office 1st April 2008
£20 million has been the figure banded about, but I can't find the official figure on any of my internet searches
